In a show of respect for Mother Earth, our ancestors became experts at making natural, handcrafted items, carefully respecting all that the land provided. Mi'kmaq clothing, tools, canoes, wigwams and jewelry reflect this proud tradition.

At various times throughout the year, the Centre is proud to showcase local crafters, demonstrating their skilled attention to detail, creating unique and beautiful items including jewelry, basketry, quillwork, moccasins and other leather goods.

Our spacious gift shop features these hand-made items, along with original paintings, postcards, candles, books and music for authentic reminders of your Mi'kmaq experience. Take home a souvenir of your visit to the Centre with an authentic Mi’kmaq craft.
