elm'joqteg : spread of food
Living off the land and sea created many food sources for our people.
Moose, caribou, salmon, sturgeon, walrus, beaver, porcupine, berries
- even edible plants and roots - nourished our ancestors. Traditional
Mi'kmaq meals reflect this lifestyle, and the Clean Wave Restaurant
offers many of these dishes, all homemade from local ingredients.
Our professional staff invites you to enjoy the rich Mi'kmaq heritage
through our extensive menu as well as the beautiful, traditional
arts and crafts displayed throughout the room. You can also enjoy
your meal while you watch local artisans demonstrate the process,
history and meaning behind their breathtaking works. Check the calendar
for a schedule of presentations.
Catering services are also available, as well as alternate selections
and packages to accommodate large groups.
